Sky

The next in my Geographic series! ^_^ This time, it's the sky that gets personified! I really like her, but she was tough to visualize. (Probably why it's taken me so long to get the next one done.) I realized, as I was drawing her, and thinking of how I would color her, that the sky is the most varying part of our world. Every day it goes through more color changes than anything else (certainly than anything that I'm going to be drawing in this series), and that to pick just one color would be tough.

SO! Here's the breakdown of the colors you see here-
*her skin is the color of the sun
*the necklace and anklet are the dark blue of the nighttime sky
*her wings are the gray and purplish color you see on cloudy or stormy days (not very strong color, but still there)
*her hair (my favorite!) is the color of a sunset. Fading from brilliant yellows to oranges and reds, down to purples and finally to the dark blue- I got the idea in my head that her hair shimmers and changes as it moves.

Also, on the topic of color- please note that the scanner I use likes to brighten things when I don't tell it to, so please imagine her skin a little more light yellow, and less white, and please imagine the sky a little more blue. My roommate's scanner likes white, I guess. >_<

4 of (probably) 12! I'm still loving this series, and still coming up with ideas for them, so you guys will see more of these. ^_^
